3.2.1 Under five mortality rate
The
under-five mortality rate decreased from 14.2 in 2010 (from these 14.6 for boys
and 13.7 for girls) to 13.0 in 2019 (from these 14.8 for boys and 10.9 for
girls).
As
compared with 2018 the number of children who died before the age of five years
increased by 10 persons and amounted to 1,835 persons in 2019, 1,113 of which
were boys and 722 girls. It shows that the number of deaths among girls under
five years of age is 35.1 percent less than that of boys.
Regarding
to age groups disaggregation, in 2019 the number of infants died under one year
of age increased by 10 persons compared to the previous year and amounted to 1,557
persons, while the number of children aged from one to five years was not
change and amounted to 278.
