7.1.1 Proportion of population with access to electricity

During the reviewed period, access to electricity in the country was accessible for everyone. Thus, in 2010-2022, the proportion of population with access to electricity was 100 percent.

7.2.1 Renewable energy share in the total final energy consumption

In 2010-2019, the renewable energy share in the total energy supply decreased by 2.6 percentage points from 4.2 percent to 1.6 percent.

Compared to 2010, in 2019 energy supply from renewable sources decreased by 31.9 percent and amounted to 263.4 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent (TOE), and of which 51.1 percent derived from hydro, 44.0 percent from biomass (biofuel) and wastes, 1.4 percent from solar and 3.5 percent from wind.

7.3.1 Energy intensity measured in terms of primary energy and GDP, by 2005 prices, kg oil equivalent/thousand manats

Compared to 2010 in 2019, the amount of primary energy consumed for the production of per thousand manats value increased by 19.7 percent. In 2019, 21.3 percent of total energy supply was obtained by transformationö1ğ sector, 5.4 percent by losses, 6.6 percent by internal consumption of energy sector, 66.3 percent by final consumption and 0.4 percent by other consumption.
