The present Law determines organization-legal bases of the state guardianship of persons sick with heritable diseases of blood - hemophilia and thalassemia in the Azerbaijan Republic, governs the relations arising in the sphere of treatment and prevention of these diseases.

The present Law governs the relations in the sphere of compulsory insurance from loss of professional working capacity owing to labor accidents and occupational diseases, determines legal, economic and organizational basis of these relations.

Public health care consists of complex of the political, economic, legal, scientific, medical, sanitary and hygienic measures directed to protection of physical and mental health of each person, increase in his active longevity, providing with medical care.The present Law regulates the relations arising between citizens and state bodies, and also subjects of the state and non-state health care systems..

The present Law establishes and regulates measures in the field of narcological service and control for the purpose of prevention of narcological diseases and the negative medical and social consequences, and also damnification cases generated by them to subject these diseases and persons which are around them.

The present Law governs the public relations arising in connection with drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and their precursors, determines the rights and obligations of state bodies, physical persons and legal entities.

The present Law establishes the legal basis of rendering the specialized medical and public assistance to oncological patients.

The present Law governs the relations between subjects of private medical activities, determines their rights and obligations, organization-legal bases of these activities.

The present Law establishes organizational, legal and economic basis of medical insurance of the population, governs the relations between subjects of medical insurance.

The present Law establishes legal and economic basis of the state policy performed in the field of immunoprevention of infectious diseases for the purpose of public health care of the Azerbaijan Republic and ensuring sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing.

The present Law  governs the relations arising in the field of rendering mental health services in the Azerbaijan Republic, establishes the rights and obligations of legal entities and physical persons in this area.

The present Law establishes organization-legal bases of protection of the population against tuberculosis, the right and obligation of the patients with tuberculosis of persons.

The present Law establishes organization-legal bases of the state care of persons having diabetes in the Republic of Azerbaijan, governs the relations arising in the field of prevention and treatment of this disease.

The sanitary legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic governs the public relations in the field of sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing of the population as necessary sales term in the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic of the rights and interests of citizens and society in preservation and promotion of health, physical and spiritual development, active longevity of people.

The present Law determines the legal basis of accident-free activities in the field of sources of radioactive radiation, protection against radiation hazard and public health care.
